In Hormozgan, Mohammad Tamadon Dar, head of the Prophet’s Educational, Research and Medical Complex, said: “At present, due to the increasing trend of infection and hospitalization of a large number of patients, the increase in the number of sections of COVID-19, the possibility of shifts of physicians and nurses has decreased and their exposure to patients has naturally increased. With this increasing trend in addition to the double fatigue, it will be possible for any of them to get infected and will cause to the leave of the specialized forces from the treatment cycle, which will cause irreparable damage to the health of the province.

“At present, a number of employees in various fields, including doctors, nurses, workers, and even support and administrative forces, have been infected with this disease.”

Red alert on coronavirus in the southern and western villages of Semnan

Regarding the fact that Iran was the first country to announce the second wave of the coronavirus outbreak, one of Semnan’s residents said on 5 June: “The prevalence of coronavirus in the southern and western villages of Semnan is very serious and the condition of these areas is red. The number of coronavirus infected in the two deprived and desert areas Khairabad and Roknabad, alone, has reached about 300. Meanwhile, the situation in the villages of Momenabad and Aftar has been reported to be dire.”

The president of Gilan University of Medical Sciences announced the start of the Coronavirus’ second peak in the province and said: “The rate of coronavirus infection in Gilan has increased in recent days for various reasons and this has led to an increase in the number of hospitalizations.”
