Tehran, Iran, Feb. 12 – Iran has launched a new production-line of unmanned stealth spy drones which can climb 700km in the air, the supreme commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Saturday.

“The goal of making this plane was to carry out reconnaissance operations, gather intelligence, and transmit pictures. But we can use these planes to identify the enemy’s bases, naval vessels, and headquarters in the surrounding regions in order to formulate our plans”, General Safavi said.

He made the remarks in an interview with Iran’s state-run Arabic channel al-Alam.

He claimed the plane could evade radar.
