Tehran, Iran, Mar. 28 – The Islamic Republic will not back away from its “right” to enrich uranium, Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Wednesday less than a week after the United Nations Security Council imposed greater economic sanctions against it for doing so.

“We will not retreat an iota from our legitimate nuclear right”, Mottaki was quoted by the official news agency IRNA as saying on the sidelines of an Arab leaders summit in Riyadh.

He added that Tehran’s nuclear activities were “completely transparent”.
