Tehran, Iran, Apr. 04 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blasted on Wednesday the United Nations Security Council for failing to prevent the United States-led invasion of Iraq.

The Security Council also prevented to stop the cycle of killings in the Middle East, Ahmadinejad told reporters at a packed press conference.

He accused “arrogant world powers” of bringing about “destruction” to the whole world.

The conference is being aired live on state television.
