Tehran, Iran, Apr. 25 – Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and the EU’s foreign policy chief Javier Solana have begun talks in Ankara over the international standoff on Iran’s nuclear projects, the official news agency IRNA reported on Wednesday.

The two men are meeting privately in a hotel in the Turkish capital. The talks may continue on Thursday.

The Iranian delegation includes Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, senior Iranian Supreme National Security Council staff member Javad Vaeedi, and the deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran Mohammad Saeedi.
