Tehran, Iran, Jul. 06 – A senior Iranian cleric said on Friday that Tehran would not retreat an “iota” over its nuclear activities despite the looming threat of further UN Security Council sanctions.

“The Iranian nation will not retreat from its nuclear stances. It will not give up even an iota of its nuclear rights”, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani told worshippers at Friday Prayers in Tehran.

His comments were aired on state television.
