Tehran, Iran, Sep. 10 – At least 10 people were killed as two vehicles collided on a stretch of highway in central Iran on Monday, state media reported.

State television said that the accident occurred on the road between Daihook and Ravar.

Another two people were injured in the crash.

Iran’s highways are considered to be among the most dangerous in the world, with some 100,000 road-accident deaths occurring in the last five years, the equivalent of three deaths an hour.
