Tehran, Iran, Sep. 17 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been granted a visa to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York, state media reported.

Ahmadinejad’s trip to the U.S., which would be his third in as many years, would last for four days, the government-owned news agency Fars said on Monday.

Ahmadinejad will begin his trip on September 23, the report said, adding that he would address the General Assembly. The UNGA’s 62nd session kicks off on Tuesday.

The report added that visas had not yet been issued for several members of the Iranian President’s entourage.
