Tehran, Iran, Jan. 03 – Infant and junior schools in the Iranian capital were closed on Thursday due to heavy snowfall.

The move was in line with an announcement by officials in Tehran late Wednesday that infant and junior schools would be closed for both the morning and afternoon sessions throughout the Iranian capital.

Poor weather conditions have also grounded domestic flights from Tehran’s major airports.
