Tehran, Iran, Feb. 20 – Iranian authorities hanged ten people on Wednesday, state media reported.

Six men were hanged in a prison in the city of Zanjan, northern Iran, the government-owned news agency Fars said. They were accused of armed robbery.

They were identified as Hassan Rezaian, Sohrab Rezaian, Mehdi Dashti, Morteza Jafaari, Manouchehr Mohammadi, and Nejjat Ahmadi.

Four others were hanged in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, Fars said in a separate report. They were accused of murder.

They were identified as Saber, 32; Peyman, 34; Mohammad, 31; and Ali-Akbar, 27.
