Tehran, Iran, Mar. 10 – Iran confirmed on Monday that its Foreign Minister had recently met Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Asked whether there was a possibility that Miliband might travel to Tehran to offer the Islamic Republic a new package of incentives in return for it to halt its controversial nuclear activities, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said he had heard nothing other than a proposal that had been made in a recent report by the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

Hosseini confirmed that Miliband had met and held talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
