ImageLondon, Jul. 21 – Coalition forces captured a suspected "Hezbolla Brigades" propaganda specialist with ties to Iran early Monday morning in the New Baghdad district of Baghdad, the United States military announced.

"Based on intelligence information, Coalition forces targeted the location of a suspected propaganda expert affiliated with the Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq. Information taken from suspected criminals already in custody indicate that the man uploads web sites with imagery and video taken from attacks on Iraqi Security and Coalition forces", the Multi-National Force – Iraq (MNF-I) said in a statement. "Reports indicate this is part of a propaganda effort in order to earn money and support from their Iranian financiers".

"Intelligence indicates that Kata’ib Hezbollah or Hezbollah Brigades is an offshoot of Iranian-trained Special Groups", the statement said.

"Special Groups" is a term used by the U.S. military to describe radical Iranian-backed Shiite militia members.
