Tehran, Jun. 03 – Skirmishes broke out at Khoy University (north-western Iran) yesterday between students and security forces, when the latter attempted to quell a protest against the upcoming June 17 presidential elections.

Student protestors gathering on campus called for a mass boycott of the elections.

Soon after, security forces attempted to prevent the spread of the demonstration to outside the university, clashing with students who were constantly chanting “Boycott the Elections”.

They confiscated cameras from students taking photos of the skirmishes.

All classes for the remainder of the day where cancelled due to the disruption.
