Tehran, Iran, Sep. 26 – Tehran’s State Security Forces denied on Monday that there were two explosions near the British embassy in the Iranian capital on Sunday evening.

“Last night there were no explosions near the Istanbul Square”, the chief police spokesman said, referring to the site of the embassy compound.

Two explosions were heard near the British embassy on Sunday evening, though there was no immediate confirmation of the cause of the blasts.

Late Sunday night, the SSF chief in Tehran announced that there was an ongoing investigation into reports of several explosions near the embassy site.
