Tehran, Iran, Jan. 04 – An Iranian judge has issued an order for a young student from the University of Tehran to appear before a court in the Iranian capital on political charges, according to his lawyer.

The lawyer for Amir Raayat-Nazari said that the young student from the university’s Faculty of Engineering was ordered to appear in court on Saturday.

Mohammad-Ali Dadkhah said that Raayat-Nazari was charged with “acting against national security”, a broad charge used by Iranian security officials to suppress all forms of social protests or actions against the ruling clerical authorities.
