Tehran, Iran, Mar. 08 – A man was flogged in public in the Iranian city of Karaj, west of Tehran, the semi-official daily Jomhouri Islami reported on Wednesday.

The report only identified the man as Abbass Q. and labelled him a “hooligan”.

Abbass was lashed in public 74 times, according to the head of the judiciary’s public relations department in Karaj.
