London, Mar. 19 – The top United States General in Iraq warned Iran on Sunday to stop sending the roadside bomb technology into Iraq.

Gen. George Casey, who commands the Multi-National Force in Iraq, made the comments in Baghdad during a live interview with the American television station Fox News.

“I certainly would want to discuss what we see as Improvised Explosive Device technology coming from the country of Iran into Iraq and being used against coalition forces. That needs to stop”, Casey said.

He said that he had not seen large-scale infiltration of Iraq by Iranian militias but did not rule out the possibility that Iranian Revolutionary Guards were present in Iraq.

Casey said that he did not have great confidence that Tehran was playing a helpful role in Iraq and accused it of playing a “very delicate balancing act”.

“I don’t believe they want to see us succeed here”, he said.
