Tehran, Iran, Apr. 06 – Iran will soon add modern and advanced weapons to its military arsenal, Iranian Defence Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar told reporters on the final day of naval war-games in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

“We have plenty of more advanced and modern weapons which we will make use of in the near future”, Brigadier General Mohammad-Najjar said. His comments were carried by the government-run news agency Fars.

“These military exercises have a special message for our enemies”, the defence minister said of the weeklong war-games.

Iran had put on display what it claimed were new stealth missiles, sonar-evading torpedoes, and even a “flying boat” during the naval exercises dubbed “Great Prophet”.
