Iran’s Larijani to hold nuclear talks in Spain on Friday

London, Jul. 06 – Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani will travel to Madrid on Friday and meet with Spanish Prime Minister ‪Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero‬ to discuss Tehran’s nuclear program, the official news agency reported on Thursday.

IRNA quoted officials from the Office of the Spanish Prime Minister as saying that Larijani will stay in Madrid for all of Friday.

He will hold separate talks with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos‬ on a recent offer of economic incentives to Tehran by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany in return for it to suspend uranium enrichment.

The report said that Saeed Jalili, Foreign Ministry deputy for EU and U.S. Affairs; Seyyed-Abbass Araqchi, Foreign Ministry deputy for Legal and International Affairs, and Javad Vaeidi, a senior official at Iran’s Supreme National Security Council will accompany Larijani.

Larijani will travel from Madrid to the Swiss capital Berne late Friday.
