Jannati, who heads the powerful Guardians Council, said that the United Nations was an instrument in the hands of large world powers.
The support of Muslims for Lebanons Hezbollah in any shape or form is an absolute necessity, he added.
They must close down the UN and its Security Council, he said
Jannati is a key ally of Irans Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
On Tuesday, he called on Muslim nations to provide arms to Hezbollah.
At present, it is expected of Muslim states to not hold back any support, in particular military, medical, and food aid, to Hezbollah and the Lebanese people, Jannati told the state-run news agency ISNA.
He said that it was the religious duty of all Muslims to give political and financial aid to Hezbollah and spread the groups cause.
