Tehran, Iran, Aug. 09 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has appointed the country’s new ambassador to Hungary, the official news agency reported on Wednesday.

Alireza Irvash was selected to the post by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and subsequently approved by Ahmadinejad.

Irvash was previously the Islamic Republic’s consul general in Hyderabad, India. His career highlights also includes the post of director general for education and human resources developments at the state broadcasting corporation (IRIB).
