Tehran, Iran, Jan. 16 – Iran’s Supreme Leader said that insecurity was mostly rampant in areas of Iraq were United States troops were present.

“U.S. and Israeli intelligence services are sowing discord and inciting radical elements, thereby playing a pivotal role in creating insecurity in Iraq”, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said. His remarks were reported by the government-run news agency Fars on Monday.

“Iraq’s most insecure regions are those in which U.S. military forces are present”, Khamenei said.

He accused the “Global Arrogance”, or U.S., of creating divisions among Muslims in Iraq, as well as Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Pakistan.
