ImagePARIS, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) — French Prime Minister Francois Fillon warned on Friday that if Iran still refuse to stop its nuclear activities with quick and concrete actions, stricter sanctions will be imposed on it.

All the countries are waiting for Iran's concrete action and the deadline is clear, but if Iran just keeps on delaying, the international community will "have no choice" but to impose stricter sanctions, Fillon said during his speech at the France Military Academy in Paris.

"France is firmly determined to cooperate with European Union, the United States, Russia and China to solve the Iran nuclear issue", Fillon was quoted by AFP as saying.

Nuclear proliferation endangers the global peace and security in this multipolar world, thus "we will fight against proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapon." Fillon said.

The International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei announced on Oct. 4 that Tehran has agreed to the inspection to its new uranium enrichment plant in three weeks, and officials from the United States, France, Russia and Iran will hold a talk in Vienna on Oct. 19 over the possible provision of higher-grade uranium for Iran's research reactor.

The United States and other Western powers suspect Iran's nuclear program is aimed at producing nuclear-weapon materials, but Tehran insisted that the program has no military component andhas rejected calls to halt the effort.
