ImageBERLIN (Reuters) – April will be a "decisive phase" in international efforts to agree on potential sanctions against Iran's nuclear programme, a German government official said on Monday.

The official, talking under condition of anonymity, was speaking ahead of a visit to the United States by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

During the visit, Merkel will attend a summit on nuclear security in Washington hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama.
