UNITED NATIONS June 8 (Reuters) – The U.N. Security Council will vote on Wednesday morning on a resolution imposing a fresh round of sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, France’s U.N. Ambassador Gerard Araud said.

“Tomorrow morning,” Araud told reporters on Tuesday when asked when the vote would take place.

Western powers believe 12 of the 15 council members will vote for the resolution, and there will be no vetoes, enabling the measure to pass. (Reporting by Louis Charbonneau; Writing by Patrick Worsnip; Editing by Jackie Frank )
