Reuters: President George W. Bush said on Thursday Iran must face consequences for failing to meet the August 31 deadline for halting sensitive nuclear work. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Reuters) – President George W. Bush said on Thursday Iran must face consequences for failing to meet the August 31 deadline for halting sensitive nuclear work.

“It is time for Iran to make a choice,” Bush said at a convention of the American Legion U.S. veterans group. “We’ve made our choice. We will continue to work closely with our allies to find a diplomatic solution, but there must be consequences for Iran’s defiance and we must not allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon.”
