An employee at Kamkar Hospital in Qom reported that another person died because of the coronavirus infection at 6 pm on Thursday 20 February 2020.

The hospital is in a state of emergency, but the traffic continues to be normal to the hospital and there is no control at the hospital.

Much medical staff and hospital staff are scared, and some are not present at work.

The hospital employee also added: “Precise statistics cannot be said because we had suspected fatalities from about ten days ago and until two days ago all were buried without careful examination and there is a high probability that they were infected with the coronavirus.”

All those who have died of coronavirus have been buried in Qom’s Beheshet-e-Masoumeh cemetery. One or two are buried in other cemeteries such as the Shah Ahmad cemetery.

On the other hand, the Coronavirus has also reached Andimeshk, according to a news release on past Thursday, with one person dying because of the infection in that city.

There is also news that the coronavirus outbreak has reached the city of Boroujerd.

Ahmad Amirabadi, a member of the Iranian parliament, spoke with the state-run media ILNA, and the disclosed the critical situation in Qom that is quoted below.

ILNA while quoting him and wrote: “Qom is not doing well in terms of the spread of the coronavirus, and I think the government’s performance in controlling the virus has failed.

“Nurses currently lack proper quarantine clothing and are caring for patients with fear and anxiety. There are many problems for nurses and there are few facilities, and Qom also lacks laboratory kits.”

“It is true that we must keep calm, but we should not observe the scale of the crisis as if nothing had happened.”

While he confessed that 10 people are dying daily, he added: “Until last night about 50 people died because of the coronavirus infection. And the Ministry of Health is responsible for this subject. Unfortunately, Coronavirus outbreak has been in Qom for 3 weeks and this has been announced late.”

I also told the Minister of Health that you had been named the Operation Commander, be present in Qom and command from there.”

He said that 32 died in the quarantine and added: “Those who died at Kamkar and Forghani hospitals in Qom were mainly due to the coronavirus.”

“The response of the Qom’s University of Medical Science head examination has also been positive, and as the situation worsens, his successor should be selected as soon as possible. There are no facilities for the nurses, while the minister says they have sent 7,000 proper clothes to the nurses in the morning, I do not know whether these statements are true.”

He said: “According to the head of the University of Medical Sciences, the first suspected coronavirus patients died on 13 February, and after tests carried out by specialists sent from Tehran, it was determined that these people had coronavirus.”
