Tehran, Aug. 13 – From the Grapevine…

Slogans targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are among a number of mantras that appeared on Saturday and Tuesday in various areas of Tehran, political activists say. Vanak Square and Jordan, Saberi, Sherafat, Sedaqat and Sayeh streets had anti-regime graffiti on some of their walls.

Other parts of Tehran, including Sattar Khan District, Daryan-e No, the northern corner of Salsebil, and Azadi Square also contained anti-regime graffiti, according to eyewitness reports.

New slogans included: “We are not people of Kufa and will not give up; the uprising will go on”, “No to compromise, no to surrender, fight until liberty – Don’t forget, on 3 September we will all be together”, and “Khamenei must know that he will soon be deposed”.
