Dozens of people in the north-eastern city of Mashhad early on Friday chanted “death to the dictator” and “Neither Gaza, nor Lebanon; I give my life for Iran” in opposition to the government-organised Qods (Jerusalem) day marches, eye witnesses said.
The anti-government protest took place in the city’s Sanai Street near Sahab Az-Zaman Square.
The crowd dispersed quickly when State Security Forces arrived on the scene.
