Tehran, Feb. 26 – Workers from Iran’s Pars Textiles yesterday protested outside the governor’s office in Gilan (Iran’s Caspian coastal province) after having gone more than 10 months without pay.

At least 180 workers took part in the protest demanding that the government take action against their employer.

A number of the protestors said that they had been working in the plant for over 25 years.

No action has been taken thus far on the part of the governor’s office to ensure that the workers receive their overdue salaries.
