ImageTehran, Iran, Oct. 17 – Iranian authorities hanged a man in Doroud, western Iran, state media reported on Thursday.

Authorities hanged the man, identified only by his initials M. Gh., in a prison in Doroud on Wednesday, the ultra-conservative daily Kayhan wrote. Doroud is situated in Iran's Lorestan Province.

The report said that he had been convicted of murder.
