Tehran, Iran, Sep. 15 – A senior Iranian commander said on Tuesday that the military is in its best possible defensive position, highlighting Iran’s use of hi-tech equipment and advancements to communication systems.
"We are in the best possible conditions of defensive preparedness after we employed dozens of new systems, air-to-ground missile systems, multilayer communication and radar super systems," said the commander of Khatami ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani, according to the state-run news agency Fars.
Iran has recently announced the development of hi-tech missile defence systems capable of tracing and intercepting cruise missiles.
