Tehran, Iran, Oct. 02 – A group of Iranian men were flogged in public in the Iranian capital and sentenced to several years in prison, a semi-official daily reported on Sunday.

The men were each flogged 74 times on Saturday and sentenced to between two to seven years in prison for armed robbery, the hard-line Kayhan daily wrote.

The report did not state the number of people in the group, but added that they were also sentenced to pay a fine.
