Tehran, Iran, Jun. 25 – Iran said on Sunday that the issue over it suspending uranium enrichment belonged to the past.

“Mentioning the issue of suspending enrichment is a return to the past”, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi told reporters, adding that Tehran would try to allay the West’s concerns once it gives its response to a package of incentives it has been offered by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany.

The P5+1 package was offered in return for Tehran to suspend uranium enrichment.

Asefi urged the West not to be impatient in receiving Tehran’s response to the offer.

He denied a report that Iran would be willing to suspend uranium enrichment for a period of three months.
