Tehran, Iran, Dec. 02 – Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili will travel to Moscow on Monday to discuss the Islamic Republic’s atomic program with senior Russian officials, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Sunday.

“The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council will arrive in Moscow to hold negotiations with top Russian officials to discuss international issues”, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said.

Representatives of the six world powers Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia, and the United States met in Paris on Saturday and discussed the prospect of further sanctions against Tehran over its refusal to suspend its uranium enrichment activities.

On Friday, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana met Jalili in London. The last-ditch negotiations produced no results however, and Solana said he was disappointed with Tehran’s position.
