ImageTehran, Iran, Jun. 05 – Iran’s new Majlis Speaker has reiterated that the Tehran government continues to support Hamas in Palestine, state media reported on Thursday.
 
“We hope the other resistance groups can be pioneers”, Ali Larijani told Hamas political bureau chief, Khaled Mashal, during a telephone conversation on Wednesday. His comments were reported by the official news agency IRNA .
 
Mashal reiterated Hamas’s gratitude for Tehran's continued support, stating, "Your stance on Palestine has always been very brave and we are confident that such a stance will continue until the victory of Palestinians".
 
Iran has long been accused of providing funding and weaponry for violence in Palestine.
