Authorities hanged the six men in the City of Sabzevar. It was not clear what charges they had faced.

State media also reported that two individuals were hanged in a prison in the central city of Isfahan on Sunday.

They were accused of murder in the city of Damaneh, according to a report by the state broadcasting corporation.

Four other men, including an Afghan, were hanged in public in the southern province of Bushehr, a state-run newspaper wrote on Saturday.

All four were hanged at dawn on Thursday in a public square in the city of Dashestan, the daily Kargozaran wrote.
