Tehran, Iran, Jan. 03 – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic had to become the “Mother of All Sciences” in the Muslim world.

Meeting members of the Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution, Khamenei said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran, with its wealth of capable and faithful young people, can become the Mother of All Sciences among Islamic nations”.

The Supreme Leader added that the world would take Iran more seriously if it made greater scientific accomplishments.

“Islamic Iran and the Muslim world can raise their just demands more forcefully in the world if they are scientifically more advanced”, Khamenei said.

Khamenei told the council to implement plans to eradicate “cultural phenomena that are at odds with the cultural norms of the Islamic revolution”.

Hard-line Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who heads the Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution, presented a report to Khamenei on the council’s activities during the meeting.
