Over the past several days there have been several riots inside Orumieh’s central prison as prisoners, some of whom have been jailed on political charges, confronted guards.

Among those beaten badly by prison guards are Mostafa Sheikhipour, Ali Tappehrash, and Mamesh Farvardin.

At least three other prisoners by the names of Latif Mohammadi, Jahangir Baduzadeh, and Karim Mam-Hosseini have been taken from their cells to unknown locations.
