Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Jul. 01 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that Tehran would continue to pursue its uranium enrichment activities despite a package of incentives it had been offered by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany in return for suspending the activity. Tehran, Iran, Jul. 01 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that Tehran would continue to pursue its uranium enrichment activities despite a package of incentives it had been offered by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany in return for suspending the activity.

Ahmadinejad said that the “government and people of Iran have made a decision to continue beyond this phase with dignity and glory”, state television reported.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in Gambia where he is attending the African Union summit.
