Tehran, Iran, Aug. 01 – Iran said on Monday that it was committed to expanding its ties with the United Arab Emirates.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said that cooperation between the two states was a “serious priority” for the Islamic Republic. He was speaking at a joint Iran-UAE summit in Tehran.

Asefi in particular praised Tehran-Abu Dhabi cooperation in extraditing wanted individuals.
