Tehran, Iran, Sep. 12 Irans ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna said on Tuesday that the political atmosphere over the Islamic Republics nuclear standoff with the West was in Tehrans favour.
All the developing countries, most European governments, and many of the member states of the Security Council insist on a peaceful resolution to Irans nuclear dossier, Ali-Asghar Soltanieh said. His comments were aired on state television.
Soltanieh said that IAEA director general Mohamed ElBaradeis positive assessment of Irans nuclear negotiations with European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana was a sign that the political atmosphere had become in Irans favour.
He said that with Cuba taking over as host of the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) states, Irans political standing would better advance in the international community.
