Tehran – Students in Tehran’s prestigious Elm-va-San’at (Science and Industry) University have used spray paint to write slogans in dormitories against the authorities. One student told Iran Focus by telephone that each time they write graffiti, campus security erases them.

Following the events marking the anniversary of the murder of Kianoush Asa, a former student took part in anti-government protests last year, 25 students were given a prohibition on using the dormitories and recreational facilities on campus.

Authorities summoned their families to appear before the disciplinary committee. Fifty other students have also been summoned.

Isfahan – Hamid Hosseini, a post-graduate psychology student in the University of Isfahan, was arrested while distributing leaflets urging other students to attend anti-government protests planned next week.

Kermanshah – Walls throughout the provincial capital have been filled with graffiti urging the public to stage protests to mark the anniversary of anti-government rallies last summer. Slogans include “Death to [Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei” and “We are here to stay”.
