Isfahan, Jun. 11 – Residents of Isfahan chanted “death to the dictator” and “[Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei is a murder, his velayat (rule) is null and void” from their rooftops on Friday at 22:00 local time in Nazar Sharqi, Towhid and Shariati streets.
State Security Forces and anti-riot units have been stationed in the city’s Enqelab Square in anticipation of protests on the anniversary of the June 2009 protests.
It is rumoured that people will be marching from Enqelab Square to Darvazeh Dowlat beginning at 16:00 on Saturday.
