Iran Focus: Tehran, Jul. 20 – From the Grapevine… Sabz-e Meidan (Vegetable Wholesale Market), Shoemakers Bazaar and Jewelers at Tehran’s grand Bazaar have been reported to be on strike. Only a handful of shops were open on Monday.

Sabz-e Meidan (Vegetable Wholesale Market), Shoemakers Bazaar and Jewelers at Tehran’s grand Bazaar have been reported to be on strike. Only a handful of shops were open on Monday.

The Textile and Fabric Bazaar was also half closed, and few people went to shop.

Many petrol stations in Tehran were closed on Monday. There were long queues in petrol stations in Tarasht, Sattar Khan, Behboudi and Baharestan streets. In some cases, drivers had to wait in line for many hours.
