This weekend, president Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani was in Tirana, Albania joining a large gathering by the Iranian resistance to call for a free Iran. Among the guests, former Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) could be named.

The two spoke at the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) celebration calling for the fall of the mullahs’ regime and the establishment of a new democratic republic realizing freedom of press, women, and religion. The group advocates a 10-point plan presented by its president-elect Maryam Rajavi for the future of Iran.

Among the guests, former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt as well as former US Marine Corps Commander General James Conway could be named.

The event was to celebrate “The 120 Year Struggle of the Iranian People for Freedom.”

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the movement and president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, met earlier with Mr. Rudi Giuliani at MEK’s headquarters in Albania, Ashraf-3 – the newly built city by the Mojahedin. The city is now officially home to the Iranian resistance in Albania.

Giuliani called the residents “freedom fighters,” As he spoke to them in city’s main hall. He said the building of the city was a miracle in such short time. And he stated that he may like to “move in.” And, that he regarded Maryam Rajavi the respectful leader of the movement.

“Aren’t we now at a point in history that we can stand up [to the mullahs] that we can say no more and you have to go,” said Giuliani and stressed, “I accuse them of murder.” He reminded the those present that the mullahs had slaughtered 120,000 innocent people during their 40-year rule.

Giuliani stressed that these are not numbers but real people and lives. And, he said that these have to get not angry so we’ll have to “act.”

He called on the Europeans such as France and Germany to support break ties with the mullahs and asked how can the leaders of those countries “turn their back on murder and live with it.”

Giuliani demanded that the Iranian mass murderers to be brought to justice and asked the democratic countries in Europe to stand up against tyrants in Tehran. “How can you give blood money to Iran?” When you give them money,” added Giuliani, “you are supporting murder.”

“Wake up… when you buy oil from Iran, you are funding murder,” Giuliani said.

“We’ve got the worst regime in the world,” said Giuliani adding, “And we have the NCRI lead by president-elect Maryam Rajavi… We know there is something much better.”

“And, they call it a cult,” complained former mayor of New York. “May be they forgot all about honor and decency, human rights. This is a decent organization. A group that we can support. And, it is a group that we can trust should there be a regime change,” in Iran.

Another speaker at the event was former US senator Joe Lieberman who also addressed the ceremony in Ashraf-3 and took time to speak to the residents.

“We’ve gathered in great crowds in Paris during the years,” said the Senator, adding, “but there is nowhere I would rather be today than in Ashraf-3.”

“For the cause of residents of Ashraf – prisoners of Camp Liberty, we were hurt and angry when you were terrorized and murdered in camp Liberty by Iranian murderers.”

“You are real people and we’ve heard your stories. You have deepened our commitment to a liberated Iran.”

Lieberman stated in his speech that “for all of us from around the world, we are all ready to stand with you for a free Iran. We will stand with you all steps of the way.”

He said that a new day is dawning in Iran and admired the residents for refusing to give in. Also, he commended the NCRI and the MEK with the leadership of Maryam Rajavi who stood with them right along all the way.

To Mrs. Rajavi, the Senator appreciated that she had told everyone about the residents and the movement.

Former Senator Lieberman also commended President Trump who “has been heroic and historic to burn to ashes the Iran nuclear agreement.” He also expressed contend that, “today it is the IRGC that is designated a terrorist organization and that is what it is.”

“The day for freedom in Iran will soon be dawning,” emphasized Senator Lieberman and invited everyone not to listen to appeasers and reminded all about those who called for appeasement to Hitler during World War II and brought about all the murders and war.

“History is on your side,” said the Senator to the residents, “and in the end freedom and justice will prevail and that is what the NCRI and the MEK represents.”
