Tehran, Iran, Nov. 30 – There were more than 420 recorded political protests in Iran over the past month, according to an Iran Focus tally.

120 of the various protests, which included strikes, demonstrations, gatherings, and clashes, were carried out by workers in Iran.

Students took part in at least 90 protests over this period while teachers held at least 70 such actions.

Other groups held at least 140 protests.

There were at least 20 recorded cases of armed clashes between people and Iran’s State Security Forces (SSF).

There were also protests and hunger strikes by political prisoners in several of Iran’s prisons, including Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, as well as Karaj’s Gohar-Dasht Prison, and Tabriz Prison.

Rising social despair and impoverishment have also led to anti-government protests by ethnic minorities such as Kurds, Arabs, Baluchis, and Turkmens.
