Tehran, Iran, Dec. 07 – Hundreds of industry workers from the northern city of Rasht rallied outside the provincial headquarters of the Ministry of Industries and Mines, demanding that the government assist them in getting their overdue wages.

At least 500 workers from Iran-Barak took part in the demonstration, the state-run news agency ILNA reported on Tuesday.

Mohammad Yaghoubi, a spokesman for the protesting workers, said that despite repeated demands, their employers had failed to pay them their salaries for the past eight months.
