Consul General Dayan: Iran Complying With Nuclear Deal Spells Disaster

Iran Focus:

London, 8 May – The Consul General of Israel made a shocking statement about the Iranian Nuclear Deal on Sunday.

Dani Dayan gave a speech at The Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York, in which he said that while the nuclear deal was bad, it would be worse if Iran were complying with the deal.

While this may sound counterintuitive, Dayan remarked that the deal does not prevent Iran getting nuclear weapons altogether, it just slows their progress and gives them a green light to someday obtain nuclear weapons.

Iran threatens Israel

Dayan stressed that Iran is a very real threat to the security of Israel, which is not surprising when you consider that Iran launched a ballistic missile earlier this year with the words ‘Death to Israel’ painted on the side.

There are many instances of threats and even direct actions against the Jewish nation-state by the Iranian Regime, but this may be worse than just two sparring countries.

According to Dr. Gregory Stanton, the founder and director of Genocide Watch, Iran’s constant threats and actions towards Israel meet six of the eight steps on the “path to genocide”.

He argued that by denying a previous genocide (the Holocaust), working on weapons of mass destruction, and funding global terrorism, Iran has prepared for genocide.

As a result, Stanton urged the international community to take action against Iran and curb its genocidal intent.

He said: “One of the best predictors of genocide is incitement to genocide [a crime under international law] … and I believe that is exactly what Iran is doing today.”

In 2015, the commander of the Basij militia of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that “erasing Israel off the map is not negotiable.”

Iran also refers to Israel as “the Little Satan”, in comparison to the United States which it calls “the big Satan”.

Dayan noted that the US and Israel see “eye to eye” regarding the danger posed by Iran and the deficits in the nuclear deal.

During his address, Dayan also talked about the Syrian Civil War (where the brutal Assad dictatorship is being propped up by the Iranian Regime) and noted that he is “extremely proud” of the humanitarian relief that is being provided by neighbouring Israel.

Dayan said: ” Israel is a light unto the nations. Israeli men and women endanger their lives in order to help Syrians, not even considering the fact that it is an enemy state.”
