London, 28 Nov – Since US policy on the Iranian Regime has changed from one of appeasement to one of confrontation, the Regime is slowing starting to face consequences for its actions, and they are beginning to lose their hold on the Middle East.

In response, the mullahs have resorted to their most tried and true tactic for slowing the tide of regime change: demonising the Iranian Resistance.

This is by no means a new policy- the Regime began to demonise those calling for democracy in 1979- but there has recently been a surge in the levels.

Iranian People Should Be Prioritised in Foreign Policy

by Jubin Katiraie

The United States and its allies have been trying to deal with Iran regime for a long time. There have been failed policies of appeasement in which leaders reach out to the “moderates” in the regime and there has not yet been a strategy that confronts the whole issue.

Human rights is something that has been not been prioritised, with leaders preferring to deal with specific issues. Leaders in the EU are trying to address Iran’s belligerence by creating economic opportunities for Iran, and the Obama administration led the way in ignoring Iran’s aggression and giving it incentive after incentive.

London, 27 Nov – Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri said that he would not accept the dangerous positions of Hezbollah (a terrorist group backed by the Iranian Regime) that are designed to destabilise the Middle East, according to a statement from his press office on Saturday.

In the statement, he said that on certain issues Iran-backed Hezbollah’s positions negatively affected “our Arab brothers or target the security and stability of their countries”.

Although the statement did not specify which Middle Eastern countries he meant, one can deduce that Israel and Saudi Arabia were among them given the Iranian Regime’s consistent targeting of the two countries through proxy groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.

More Information About Iran’s Plot for Secret Talks With Saudi Emerges

Iran Focus

London, 23 Nov – A Kuwaiti daily newspaper has stood by a report that it published on Wednesday, November 22, in which it said that the Iranian Regime was interested in opening a secret dialogue with Saudi Arabia over tensions in the Middle East.

Al Jarida’s report noted that Mohammad Irani, director-general for the Middle East and North Africa at the Iranian foreign ministry, was sent to Tunisia, earlier this week, as a personal representative of Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif.

Irani’s was tasked with persuading his Tunisian counterpart, Khemaies Jhinaoui, to intervene in the dispute between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which would involve suggesting the possibility of behind-the-scenes talks between the two Middle Eastern countries to Saudi Arabia and potentially act as a mediator.
